The Technology – Product and Process Development Leadership Programme

Our Leadership Programme will give you the opportunity to work with the latest technology and the smartest business brains at the heart of the financial world. The joined-up global nature of our operations means you’ll have the opportunity to interact with colleagues around the globe.

You’ll work alongside senior managers from the very start, playing an active part in developing bold new products and innovative ways of working. You’ll be up close and face-to-face with our customers, delivering on initiatives that underpin our business performance. You’ll learn how we manage large-scale change and leverage the latest technology infrastructure. You’ll gain on-the-job knowledge of risk, control and cost management. You’ll learn to manage projects, processes and people, to influence key stakeholders and to drive strategic change as your commercial awareness and leadership capabilities grow. Above all, you’ll play a critical part in improving the experiences of our customers and colleagues around the world.

Your development programme will be built around a series of rotational placements, which will progressively give you the technical, product and process skills and exposure you need to take on ever more responsibility.

As part of this rotation you’ll learn skills that could prepare you for a career as a:

  • Solutions Architect: building our technology future
  • Threat Intelligence Expert: working to prevent fraud and security risks
  • Business Analyst: using your skills to ensure our ways of working, work
  • MI Analyst: producing and managing Management Information (MI) skills in commercial and financial processes
  • Application Delivery Manager: developing and delivering new IT solutions
  • Project/Programme Manager: planning and managing the progress of all elements of one or more projects to make sure objectives are met
  • Advisory and Support Specialist: identifying and managing operational risks, delivering significant end-to-end improvements to key processes, managing the implementation of new and re-engineered processes
  • Practitioner in a Global Operations, Risk and Control or Offshoring role: making sure that both onshore and offshore operations deliver to customer expectations. This will require you to monitor utilisation rates, allocate resource and conduct customer research
  • Customer Experience Expert: using MI data to understand what the customer really wants and how the complaints process functions
  • Change Manager: guiding a business through change in such a way that disruption is minimised and effectiveness maximised

Professional qualifications

Professional training is fundamental to your leadership development. With that in mind you’ll have the opportunity to study for a range of respected qualifications. These will provide you with detailed technical knowledge to complement the practical expertise you gain during your placements.
